How to activate child mode on iPhone and Android

Nowadays, it is more and more common to let children use smartphones , to entertain them with videos or games suitable for them. However, we know that the smartphone gives us access to multiple functionalities, sites or applications of all kinds and that they could violate the innocence of children.

For this reason it is always a good idea to make these devices as ” safe ” as possible, before letting them be used by the little ones. For this purpose, smartphones offer users to enable a special mode for children , in order to allow access only to certain content/applications.

In addition, there are also applications that allow you to restrict access to the functionality of devices and applications. Let’s see, then, how to activate child mode on iPhone or Android .

How to activate child mode on a smartphone

Next, we will see how to enable the built-in child mode in some of the most popular smartphones on the market.

Inside Samsung smartphones there is a built-in function, which allows you to activate/deactivate the child function in certain circumstances.

Activating it is very simple:

  • At this point, within the next screen, press the icon in the form of three points, then on the Parental control item.

On iPhone , you can turn on kid mode via the built -in Screen Time feature .

  • Open Settingsby pressing the gear icon inside the home screen.
  • Identify, within the next screen, the Screen Timeitem , then click on it.
  • At this point, on the home screen, click on This iPhone belongs to a minor.

Interesting applications to establish a child mode

In the event that a built-in feature dedicated to children is not available on your smartphone, you may consider installing a third-party application created specifically to restrict access to certain applications and content.

  • Kids Place parental control for Android phones.
  • FamiSafe-Control Parental GPS para iPhone.

The applications just mentioned are, in our opinion, the best to activate the mode on your smartphone.

The operation is very easy and similar between the different applications: once downloaded and installed, all you have to do is create your own dedicated account (if necessary) and set the best restrictions to apply to the smartphone when used by children.
